Our Mission
The mission of Ty’s Animal Support Team is to encourage youth, individuals and families, to recognize and be involved in the efforts of animal support, rescue and the need for philanthropic efforts to assist animals through financial assistance, supplies, and community involvement.,
Our Vision
The vision of Ty’s Animal Support Team is to assist through:
• financial assistance in the efforts of animal
abandonment, homelessness rescue and
cruelty veterinary needs.
• assistance during natural disasters through
financial donations and supply needs.
• teaching todays youth about animal kindness and
welfare.
About Us
My Mom (Nana) and I (Ty's Mom)
Raised in a family of animal lovers, I believed that regardless of a pet's behavior, that pet was a family member for life. My mother donated to many pet charities and carried a card in her purse of Saint Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals and ecology. Animals were a central focus of my family growing up, and during my first years of teaching, my community service projects focused on pet philanthropy, such as for victims of Hurricane Katrina and animal rescue needs.
When I reached my late 30’s, I was torn whether to move forward to pursue a Veterinary career, my dream, or having my first child. Fortunately, I was blessed with the most amazing boy that has a tremendous love for all animals.
Ty
Ty was born an animal lover. He always wanted to hug our dogs but as they were older and fragile, he became passionate about wanting to do more for all animals. When he was turning 4, Ty said he didn’t want toys for his birthday since it was so close to Christmas. He wanted to have a dog food drive to benefit "Don't Forget to Feed the Animals." This loving, kind and generous gift from my son has continued every year since. In addition, Ty has supported a variety of fundraising events for animals in need of specialized surgery, assisted in organized truckloads of food an supplies for fire and hurricane relief efforts, and help spread the word for animal care.
In short, Ty has works to be an active part of the animal community and wants to educate others, including his peers, in the pursuit of animal philanthropy.
First Steps
As we sat on the couch Friday, August 25th, 2017 Ty was in horror of what was about to hit Rockport. He asked, “What about the pets?” To which I explained, “Well Ty, we will lose some, but we must pray for them". He came up with the idea of starting an organization to help them. This was the beginning of the idea for the Texas Animal Support Team. He wanted to bring all of his friends, neighbors and the community to be a part of helping animals.
Hence, as the name he chose was unavailable, we filed as a non-profit 501(c)3 (2017) to help animals in need under the name “Ty’s Animal Support Team".
Current Initiatives
Partners and Paws Campaign
The Partners and Paws Campaign (January & February) assembles animal rescue buckets for disaster relief efforts and emergency pet care. Funds are collected to assemble pre-need kits for immediate distribution in times of need. Our goal is to have 100 buckets in our reserve to send out to affected areas at all times. Please help, by sponsoring a bucket.

Large Livestock Package - $120 - $200 (Includes assistance to move animals out of danger).

We are starting collections for Hurricane IDA. Please help our efforts to raise money to help those that will need assistance.
On Going Initiatives
With each new day we learn about cruelty cases rescued through non-profit foster families. When funds are available, we reach out to assist in the medial care of these amazing fur babies.
Pennies for Paws Campaign
Campaign encouraging children to give back at an early age by collecting change. Funds to benefit 'Rescue Buckets', pets of homeless individuals, and pets of elderly that need financial support. Please let us know if you need a piggy bank to get started.

Honey Hound - Honey produced in Argyle Texas
Young entrepreneur Bryce Woodley (one of Ty's 4th grade classmates) has joined a honey co-op to learn about starting a business and marketing the end product. Bryce has generously donated half of every sale to assist in our efforts. We are thankful for the $300 donation to close out the 2019 year! Thank you Woodley family.

Thank you to our supporters that helped raise funds for Hurricane Florence and Hurricane Michael. We are excited to have sent a check for $310 dollars to the Charleston Animal Society for Hurricane Florence relief and $350 to Florida Urgent Rescue for Hurricane Michael. Our latest efforts have assisted in several animal cruelty cases.
